AP Seed
AP Seed is Harvey’s own lineup of soybean, corn, and wheat varieties, chosen for the soils and seasons of eastern North Carolina. Every variety has to earn its spot. We run candidates through our research test plots and on-farm trials across the range of ground growers work here, from light sandy soils to heavier inland fields. The ones that perform, we carry. The ones that do not, we drop. That happens every season, so what ends up in the bag reflects what is working now.
We judge on what shows up at the scale. Yield, stand-ability, and disease resistance under local pressure, because a variety that wins a plot two states west tells you very little about how it handles a wet June here. Seed is a decision you live with for a whole season, and it is not one to make off a brochure. Your Harvey’s agronomist can match AP Seed varieties to your soil type, your rotation, and your planting window, then stay with the crop through harvest.
