Cotton has grown in eastern North Carolina since colonial days, and the crop still moves through here every fall. Harvey's has been part of that story since 1871, though we did not open our first gin until 1991. In the years since, we have grown into one of the largest cotton ginners in the state.

We run modern gins in La Grange and Bethel, built to move cotton fast without giving up fiber quality. What comes off the module is the year's work, and grade is decided at the gin, so our equipment is set up to pull seed and trash while handling the lint gently. Harvest does not wait on anybody, so the gins are staffed and maintained ahead of the season and ready when the modules start coming in.
