Powell & Stokes on U.S. 13 North in Windsor has supplied Bertie County farms since 1919, when it started as a fertilizer company on the Cashie River and grew into a full farm supply. Today the location carries crop nutrients, crop protection, seed, and custom blending for the peanut, cotton, and grain ground of the Roanoke and Chowan region.
